We are hello DODO - AKA Jam and Ali, although to be honest even our friends usually refer to us as “the DODOs!” We are a husband and wife indie business team working from our garden print studio in Worthing on the South coast of England.

We screen print our own bright, bold and often funny unisex t-shirts and sweatshirts. We take a lot of inspiration from our surroundings which explains our growing seagull pun range “Gull Power”, “Who Run The World? Gulls!”, "Clever Gull” and “Mean Gulls”. Who doesn’t love a feminist seagull design?! Our love of hiking creeps in too with our popular “Get Lost” and “Take a Hike” designs.
Here at hello DODO we create designs for colourful pun-loving people with a sense of humour as wonderful/questionable as ours! All designs you see on our website have come from our own strange brains and all of our unisex adults and kids clothing, prints, tote bags and pennants have all be screen printed by us from our cute garden print studio. We pride ourselves on using only the best ethically sourced items with our t-shirts all being 100% organic cotton and made in a climate neutral factory that runs solely on wind and solar power. We use water based inks which are non-toxic and we heat cure them so that everything is totally washable and long lasting. We strongly believe that t-shirts and sweatshirts don’t need to be seen as “fast fashion” and can be worn and enjoyed for many years!
We established hello DODO in 2011 as a bit of a creative side project to work on together but very quickly it became a huge part of our lives. We must have loved it to have dragged our stock on the train from Brighton to London’s Spitalfields Market on many a cold and dark Winter morning! Over the years we have taken part in many MANY events including local art markets and also Renegade Craft Fair, London Illustration Fair, Pick Me Up London, Brighton Illustration Fair and more. Over the last few years we have also run our own solo pop up shop here in Worthing called ‘hello DODO Land’ which as you might expect is a tad colourful and crazy! Over the years we’ve also been featured in Caboodle Magazine, Vogue Bambini, Anorak, Mollie Makes, 91 Magazine, Viva Brighton and more.
When we first started hello DODO we had recently taught ourselves to screen print and initially we created posters and greetings cards. We moved in to clothing mainly because we wanted to wear our own designs but we soon got addicted to the thrill of seeing customer photos…actual real people that we didn’t know out in the World having fun wearing DODO! We still love creating prints and cards but our main love definitely lies in handprinted clothing, although you may notice we’re also enthusiastic about making iron on patches! We now plan on growing our ‘mini DODO’ range which is baby and kids apparel (Age 0 up to Age 13!) Our designs were made for big kids but we thought we’d let the actual kids get involved too!

When we’re not screen printing, heat curing, label sewing, packing orders and social media-ing we love to have adventures with our black pug Hero either on the beach or hiking in the South Downs. We also enjoy seeking out new vegan food places to try, drinking yummy beers in Worthings many micro pubs and (slowly) renovating our Victorian house to be our rainbow house of dreams!
We hope you enjoy exploring our colourful and punny little corner of the internet! Thanks so much for stopping by!
